Wimps! Wimps! Wimps! Wiiiiiimps!

Francis (Louie Bonanno) has just joined a cool fraternity and he's the smallest & smartest dude there. After tutoring his fellow fraternity brothers (who are all jocks), he's well respected and highly praised! When Charles (Francis' roommate) falls in love with a girl named Roxanne (Tracey Adams), he goes to Francis for help to win her over. Francis being sorta naive and kind, helps Charles get with Roxanne by writing poems and love letters for him. When Francis finds out the girl Charles fell for is Roxanne, he is deeply crushed because he also likes her (uh-oh!). Still, Francis continues to help Charles grow closer to Roxanne. Poor Wimp!

Wimps is a very strange movie. It starts off like any college comedy movie.. There's ugly hazings, pantie raids, and masturbating in the bathroom. Then after all that mischief, the movie only focuses on Francis admiring Roxanne from a far. As strange as it is though, I really like the movie. The story is great and all the characters are surprisingly likable, especially Francis since he is someone I can sorta relate to (haha). You know what's funny about the actress that played Roxanne? She was a porn star! A legendary one too. Very strange...... Then again, this is a Chuck Vincent movie. He did make porn too ya know.

Interested in an obscure 80's College Romantic Comedy directed by the great Chuck Vincent? Well check out Wimps! It's great and perfect for a cheap date night. 7/10.

I was thinking the same thing as Kev D, with a splash of Cyrano thrown in. Sounds like a good time.

The title & vhs cover make it out to be a mockbuster of Revenge of the Nerds. However, Wimps is not a mockbuster at all. It's surprisingly an original movie (sorta).
