"Loose Screws", a pretty good Screwballs follow-up.

Ahhh Screwballs, the greatest T&A Comedy Ever Made. Did you know there's a follow-up to this classic? Well there is and it recently came out on DVD, the new DVD is remastered beautifully and it was done by those good people at Severin Films. It may not have cool features like the Screwballs DVD but it does have an extended "International" version of Loose Screws! So the disc has 2 versions of Loose Screws and that's fucking great. Really Fucking Great.

Loose Screws has the same plot as Screwballs but it takes place in the modern times (1985), so we don't see classical cars or have cool rockabilly music playing, it's all modernized (80's) and it has awesome New Wave music playing through out the whole movie. In Screwballs, the horny guys wanted to see "Purity" naked and they did in the end, well that's how this movie is but it's a hot French teacher named "Mona Lott" that the guys wanna see. Now there is a problem in Loose Screws and that is the little 5 minute "romance" scene it has, after that little scene we see the guys getting into more crazy mischief with random hot chicks and the teacher, so what the fuck? Why was there romance in this raunchy follow-up? Eh, whatever..

So if you loved Screwballs and the other classic T&A comedies then get this movie immediately. Loose Screws needs to be in your collection. 7/10.

"The Weirdo", A Different Kind Of Love Story.

The Weirdo (also know as Weirdo The Beginning) tells the story of a guy named "Donnie" who falls in love with a girl named "Jenny". Donnie is a very troubled guy because he's afraid of people that look at him and he's constantly bullied by mullet-haired bikers. One day while Donnie is hanging around in a river stream, he meets a sweet handicapped girl named Jenny, they start talking about various things and become close friends. Next day or so, we see them holding hands, playing with junk and drinking cokes together, it's a cute little romance huh? Oh yes but things get awkward and weird once the movie (slowly) goes on. When Donnie is sent to a church to deliever some clothes, he gets beaten up and stabbed by a mean biker! Jenny helps him get up and goes to the church with him.

After the church, Jenny kisses Donnie for the first time and later on in the movie (Same Day!) they have sex for the first time and their relationship gets more serious, Donnie now has someone to love and care for but things get really complicated when his mother invites him over for a little talk. It turns out his mother has sold him to some fake hospital in Mississippi where he'll be doing hard labor work, Donnie gets really mad at his mother so he cuts her head off with a meat cleaver, then more murders happen because all these people are trying to separate him from Jenny.

The Weirdo may not be a well made movie but the story is sooo fascinating and sweet. So to my fellow trashy movie fans, this is our kind of love story so please check it out. 9/10.
