"Nightmare In Wax", the sleazy, kinda gory, kinda slow, sorta weird horror wax museum movie.

Seeing as I finally got the Gorehouse Greats Collection (YAY!) I got to see this little forgotten Crown International horror flick, it's an alright movie but it gets slow and very odd (sometimes good odd but bad odd at times as well) so here's my review or thoughts or whatever the fuck you wan to call it.

Nightmare In Wax is about this crazy wax artist (or whatever) that kills his enemies and turns em into wax sculptures, sounds familiar? Well yeah most of these wax museum horror movies tend to be the same thing. I liked the story because it wasn't too bad and I digged the setting and feel of the movie so this was a fun 12 PM movie! Anyway, the blood... Well there's some blood and gore but nothing special and there's this sort of weird scifi music score that plays in the movie that's very weird and not suitable for this movie I think. The problems? well it was slow and had these little boring talk scenes, the characters were alright but I did not like the go-go dancer because she was not only a terrible actress but her character was very dumb which was intended I guess but ugh. So idk, if you see The Gorehouse Greats Collection I suggest you grab it and enjoy these little cheap horror movies like this one. 5/10.

"Trip with the Teacher", the title says it all.

This is a classic Crown International flick, I mean like really. It's labeled a horror film but I see it more as a revenge exploitation film like LHOTL sorta is, so here's the spill on this movie.

It's about a class of girls that are going on a cross country field trip with a teacher, they're your typical 70's girls and there's a lovable bus driver that seems a little special and when I say special I mean that kind of special haha. So they meet some bikers, one good and two bad, bus breaks down, the two bad bikers keep the girls, the teacher and the good biker hostage due to killing the bus driver. So you know it's gonna get interesting after this, all you see is violence and sexual content in this movie, there's not a lot of nudity though so don't expect a T&A film (of course there is shots of the teacher's ass and tits so idk!). There's rape, murder, motorcycles, desert setting and a cheap ol' gus station in this movie that you just can't say no to! I liked it but I felt it was too long though and I was expecting bloodshed as well since I assumed this was a horror movie. Anyway it's a pretty good movie and you can get it for a cheap price in the "Gorehouse Greats Collection", the copy of that movie though isn't remastered so if you want the remastered version then I suggest you pick up the Drive-In Cult Classics disc. 8/10.

"Naked Trip", a film dedicated to Jess Franco and Jean-Luc Godard.

I had the pleasure of getting offered to review a short Independent Crime/Exploitation/Arthouse film called "Naked Trip" directed by Alex Bakshaev,  It's just about a movie director named George Eastman that owes money to a mob and is on the run, he's sorta of a ladies man and a very smart man! I really digged the cinematography because it felt like an old 60's film from Italy or Japan, the music score was interesting and the acting was alright. The problems? well there isn't any really accept the sound recording, it was kinda hard to listen to some of the dialogue, I sometimes had to rewind and put up the volume and yeah you get the picture haha, but the main issue I had with the movie was just that it was too short! the movie ends alright but I felt I needed to see more but that's just how the movie ended becoming, a short film. One scene I really liked was about the Nazi flag George owns, he gives a little speech about how it's really not about him believing in all that crap but instead it's just for shock value for his film :) So was it good? yeah. Was it bad? naah. Was it worth watching? yes but again, It should of been longer! haha. 7/10.

with a title like "Supervan" you know what you're going to see.

I dig those 70's customized vans, ones where they have names and these paintings on them and of course ones that have lasers and that are solar powered.

Supervan is a strange movie with bad acting and random events but the question is... is the movie good? Well yeah but it's really not that super though. So it's basically about this guy that gets this Supervan called "The Super Nova" which has all this high tech crap and it's for this Van competition which the prize is like 5 thousand bucks, we see the main characters get into high speed chases, Halloween festival orgys, breaking out of jail by using the Supervan's laser and we get nice shots of old customized vans that are most likely in junkyards today. Well that's all I gotta say really, so what's the rating? 5/10.
